By increasing the star rating of a weapon, you gain new bonuses for your weapon and improve it’s effectiveness. To increase a weapon’s star rating, players will need to fuse together 2 additional weapons of the same type, collection and star rating. The resulting fusing process will upgrade your desired weapon into the next star rating.
### Weapon Upgrading Each weapon can be upgraded up to level 20. Each level-up of the weapon increases the weapons damage. To upgrade a weapon, players have to acquire XP for each weapon by using it during matches. Weapon upgrading also requires shards to be spend, increasing in amount with each level.
### Weapon Forge The Weapon Forge is a new feature that allows players to acquire new weapons. It provides players with multiple types of generating new random weapons depending on the resources they have and what they want to spend. New weapons are acquired in the Forge either by purchasing or by using your existing weapon coins. These weapon coins can be acquired in various places, like the Career Road, the Battle Pass, the Arena Royale as well as other rare events that will take place in Cantina Royale. Each coin can be used in the Forge in order to acquire a new random weapon. # Overview Cantina Royale offers premium incentives enticing enough for any ragged bounty hunter. There are many ways to earn while playing the game. Your character progression and level will greatly influence your earning potential, the higher the level the better their loot. While players don’t need to pay capital to start playing, the premium players and NFT holders gain valuable rewards from raids and battles. Non-NFT owners can access high-ranking NFT characters through the Lending Platform, which seeks to benefit both the holders and scholars to optimize their shared rewards. NFT holders can utilize these character rentals to earn a passive income on the side. ### Free-to-Play Free-to-Play users can use a set of free characters in order to play the game. They can unlock more characters by progressing through the game. Free players can also upgrade their characters up to level 20 and earn common rewards and shards within the game. ### Play-to-Earn Additional to common rewards and shards, NFT holders within Cantina Royale can also earn Crowns and Premium Boxes. Their characters can be upgraded up to level 20.
# Currencies & Resources The game provides a multitude of in-game items that personalize and influence your experience inside Cantina Royale. These items range from visuals to gameplay enhancements, and various upgrade items. Some of the rare and powerful items are even tradeable between players as SFTs (semi-fungible tokens). ### Currencies **Crowns** - Can be earned as rewards while playing in the Arena, and by staking your NFT in the Lending Program. Crowns are the hard currency and represent $CRT within the game (1 $CRT = 100 Crowns) **Gems** - These represent the hard currency of Cantina Royale. They can be earned in limited amounts by playing the game and can also be purchased from the in-game store with in-app purchases and Crowns. **Shards** - They represent the soft currency within Cantina Royale. They can be earned by playing with any type of character and is the main currency of the in-game economy. ### Resources **Career Points** - Earned by playing the game and progresses players through the Career Road, which provides players with valuable resources, unlocks new characters, weapons and more. **Talent Points** - Unlocked by players when progressing their characters, more specifically when a character reaches level 7, it unlocks the talent system. **Character Tokens** - Earned by players from Loot Boxes and are character specific. These are used in order to level up their characters. **Universal Character Tokens** - Also earned by players from Loot Boxes, however, these are not character specific and can be used by players to level up any character they choose, including NFT characters. **Battle Points** - Are earned after every match except for matches played in the Arena. Winning provides more than losing and these battle points are used to progress in the Battle Pass. **Battle Points Doubler** - Players can occasionally come across battle points doublers that will double their battle points earned from matches. **Weapon Coin** - Earned by players from various sources (Loot Box, Career Road, etc) and can be used in the Forge in order to get a new low star weapon. **Epic Weapon Coin** - Similar to the regular Weapon Coin, Epic Weapon Coins can be earned from multiple sources but are much rarer. These can be used in the Forge for a chance to earn a 4 star weapon. **Arsenal-X Weapon Coin** - Provides players with the ability to earn a NFT Weapon from the forge. These are awarded to players who are successful in the Battle Arena rankings each week. **Loot Boxes (Silver, Gold, Platinum)** - Can be earned by winning a match in the regular modes as long as players have an open box slot. The boxes themselves contain general resources needed for account, character and weapon progression like Shards, Champion Tokens, Gems and other rare resources. Gold and Platinum boxes are higher quality versions of the Silver Box. Loot Boxes can also be leveled up by progressing in the Career Road. Higher level boxes will provide players with more rewards. ### Cosmetics **Common emotes** - Can be used in-game to communicate with other players. **Epic Emotes (SFTs)** - A rarer version of the emotes which are also SFTs (semi-fungible tokens) and are tradeable. **Common Spawners** - Changes the spawn animation of a player. **Common Tombstones** - Appears upon a players death in the game
# Battle Rewards Cantina Royale adopts a play & earn model where players can earn rewards when actively participating in the game. Players will not be rewarded by being passive in matches. Earnings are limited per character which encourages playing with multiple characters on a daily basis. Battle Rewards need to be segmented into 2 separate categories. One for playing the regular game modes and one for the more competitive arena mode. To note that both modes will be required to progress through the game and earn the valuable resources that are needed, regardless if you’re playing an NFT character or the free available ones. ### Regular Game Modes The regular modes provide players with lots of valuable resources which are needed in order to progress their accounts, characters and weapons. These include: * Loot Boxes * Shards * Weapon XP * Battle Points ### Arena Royale Arena Royale will constitute our competitive mode that is only available for NFT players, either owners or borrowers. The Arena Royale will take the form of a weekly tournament with a weekly reset and rewards will be earned in 3 different ways: * Earn Crowns by winning matches * Weekly leaderboard — Finish high on the leaderboard to get valuable rewards and Crowns. This leaderboard is based on your account. * NFT Ladder — While not directly rewarding additional Crowns, the NFT ladder will increase your NFTs earning potential (in addition to your NFT level) #### Arena Royale Rules * There will be no bots in these games so wait times to find a balanced match might vary depending on region * Only a victory will result in a direct Crown reward at the end of a match * Each NFT will have 5 arena royale matches available to them daily * Arena Royale will not be distributing other progression related resources that are needed for characters and weapons It is important to remember that the Arena Royale and it’s leaderboard are the only ways of earning Crown in the game.

Players are confronted with the high costs to play blockchain games as well as steep learning curves, which discourages users from investing and playing new titles. Cantina Royale removes this point of friction by using the Lending Platform. The platform streamlines NFT lending, simplifying the process to make it accessible to everyone, especially first-time blockchain gamers. For users, it can be done with a few clicks. All of the magic happens behind the scenes - facilitated by Verko smart contracts. Users can easily borrow NFTs without any prior crypto knowledge, and with additional NFT collections bootstrapped into the game, you may soon see familiar faces crowding The Cantina! ### For NFT Holders NFT holders can utilize the Lending Platform as a passive income channel, gaining profits from their digital assets by renting them out on the platform. They gain rewards as their borrowers do, and earn tokens from the staking pool on a weekly basis. #### NFT Ownership NFT holders keep all ownership rights over their digital assets - including upgrading their NFT characters. The lending platform uses smart contracts to ensure the safety and security of asset ownership throughout the lending process. Holders transfer their NFTs to the platform’s smart contract and can view the status of their assets on the lending platform. Smart contracts handle lending for holders. The entire process is done on-chain, and holders only need to confirm staking their NFTs with a one-click operation to list them for lending. The platform will match holders with borrowers, seeking out optimum earnings for each party. While borrowers gain rights to use NFTs in games, they do not hold any ownership over the asset. #### Listing and Unlisting Holders can only list NFTs that are compatible with Verko, as well as game titles or NFT collections that directly integrate with Cantina Royale. With various games set to launch on the platform, users can expect to see a growing variety of NFTs available for staking, listing, and lending. Once an NFT listed on the platform has been rented out, borrowers will be able to utilize it for a period of 2 hours. The holder may not withdraw or sell their NFT during this time. However, the NFT holder may choose to unlist their NFT from the Lending Platform. Unstaking it from the Lending Platform will take 7 days, upon which the NFT owner will have the option to withdraw the NFT from the Lending Smart Contract to his own wallet. #### Rewards and Earnings Holders gain earnings from the staking pool directly. The higher the staking pool the higher the rewards each holder will gain. The staking pool increases based on the number of NFTs that are staked. Rewards are distributed on a fixed, weekly basis. Rewards are calculated using a simple formula:
TimeInLending - The percentage of the time the NFT was listed in the platform from the beginning of the week until the end. NftWeight - NFT Level and rarity. Total pool - the maximum of the min weekly pool and the sum of rewards received from the borrowers' game in this week. Total units - the sum of all the NftUnits of the NFTs listed on the platform this week. #### **Direct Lending** Another option for lending your NFT is via Player-to-player (P2P) Lending where the holder can choose to lend their NFTs to specific players, rewards are determined by an agreement between the lender and the borrower. The NFT holder will be able to fix their preferred revenue share without adding them to the staking pool, allowing holders to receive rewards immediately. However, P2P lending removes the lender’s cut from the staking pool, and holders will not receive their weekly rewards from the pool. There is no limitation in the number of NFTs a person can borrow through direct lending. ### For NFT Borrowers Borrowers will be able to rent NFT characters to get ahead in the game. This will open chances for interested players to earn from Cantina Royale without the high costs of owning the NFT character. Each party earns rewards based on the performance of the borrower in games. Borrowing through the Lending Platform is limited to one NFT character at a time. #### Earning Rewards with NFTs Free-to-play users are provided with free characters to fuel their adventure across the galaxy. While these characters are fully-functional, they don’t churn any income for users. NFTs will enhance gameplay for borrowers, allowing players to earn rewards through gameplay, and increase the likelihood of winning in the battle arena. Borrowers earn a cut from their profits using a rented NFT while the rest of the cut goes to the staking pool. Character strength depends on NFT rarity and level. The Lending Platform creates income opportunities to borrowers that they would not gain from using generic characters while providing a selection of NFTs to choose from! #### Rental Period Borrowers gain the rights to use their rented NFTs during the active loan period, after which the digital asset goes back into the Lending Platform to be listed for rent unless the NFT holder delisted it. The current rental period of an NFT is 2 hours and is subject to change depending on demand. #### Zero-knowledge Prerequisites With current blockchain games, users must have a grasp of crypto concepts to understand the NFT lending process.
